"Sea Dancer" was inspired by my fascination with octopi. For this piece, I researched photos of octopi crawling in and out of conch shells. I built this piece with the shell separate and then merged the two units together in the kiln with glaze in the final firing. With the creation of this piece, I strived to capture the beauty and grace of these divine and intelligent creatures. This piece sold in 2017 for $950 to private collectors.
